Get R Dun Redneck

Get R Dun Redneck "Red" is a 2004 registered gelding (5/16/04). He is legged up and ready to run. He is 15.3/16 hands (need to measure) and is a big boy! A high school girl has been running barrels and poles on him. Red has been run as a 2D/3D barrel horse but will go as fast or as slow as you want him to, he is more of a free-runner. Red did not know poles when we purchased him, he has run them in the 23's with room to improve: she doesn't allow him to run his hardest down the arena and the initial end pole could use some work but otherwise they have done really well adding this to their events. The ONLY reason he is for sale is because our daughter's riding style would be best suited with a push style horse and Red would prefer to be a free runner, you likely can tell in the videos she is not pushing him to his full potential so we have no doubt he is much faster than we have yet to see. They both deserve to perform in a way that they both will excel at. He is stout and strong, very muscular build, but don't let his size fool you because he is a super sweet boy. He gets ready to run at the gate, but no silly business. He stands tied at the trailer, loads in and out of the trailer by himself, bathes, good for the farrier, rides down country roads, carries a flag and is a very easy keeper. No rear, kick or buck. Illinois state brand on rear hip. Been told he came from and was trained in southern Illinois by Tom Hayes. He is currently kept in a pasture with geldings and a mare, he will stall without issue but prefers the pasture life. He is the top of the herd but gets along with other horses, cattle, dogs, donkeys, etc. Previous owners headed off him but we have not aside from just playing around on our small farm. 100% sound, no maintenance. Shoed during rodeo season and left barefoot otherwise. Up to date on all vaccines & coggins, teeth were floated on 10/14/20. Vet checks welcome at buyers expense. A good home is a MUST!
