First competition run, Radar and DaCota placed 22nd out of 279 behind a horse that shattered the arena record by .2! Second competition run, Radar and DaCota place 8th in the 1D out of 100 runs behind the same horse! Radar has even taken me to the pay window running 0.5 seconds off the arena record in Gainesville and over running the first barrel doing it! He is now with Jackson Montgomery getting prepared for the fall runs and they are doing phenomenal.

His first crop was 2021 and we are amazed by these foals' conformation and personalities. He truly passes on the best part of him. Our two that we kept behind are pictured. They are absolute knockouts. He throwing big size and lots of natural intelligence.
Breeding...
Radar is by the infamous First Down French, who himself has set numerous arena records with progeny earnings well over $1 million. Radar is out of If Only I Had Wings, an appendix mare that passed away in 2017. His Dam line is a very strong line that has been proven successful on the track. If Only I Had Wings was severely injured on her first out and removed from training. However, her sisters have proven her lines by producing the grade 1 winning, $1 million dollar gelding that won the Rainbow Futurity and Ruidoso Futurity in 2021. The dam line has also produced a gelding by the name of Awesomer featured in the AQHA Journal for his dual career as both a successful chariot and flat saddle race horse.
Radar History...
Radar was orphaned at just three weeks old and would not latch to a nurse mare. He was raised on milk replacer pellets and shadowed his older half brother, though we don't believe he was stunted in anyway. Radar was 1280lbs going to Clinton Anderson's ranch as a late two year old. He spent three months there into the spring with Shayla Smock at Clinton Anderson's Ranch in Stephenville, TX getting the best fundamentals in the world. After that, he was home for breeding season and started on the pattern at home. Sent to DaCota Monk summer of '21 to be pattered and hauled for most of a year. He came home for the '22 breeding season and afterwards went to Jackson Montgomery who is tuning him up for the fall '22 races. The plan has always been to prove him inside and outside of the arena. We hope to create a long-lasting career for Radar as both a stallion and a performance horse.
