Promise is a 2009 model, AQHA (#5244357), 15.2 hh bay roan quarter horse mare. Zippo Pine Bar on her papers! Sane, sound, and ready to please! EASY KEEPER and big boned with straight, clean, and correct legs! Up to date on everything! Teeth hand floated 9/16/15, trimmed and shod 11/20/15, chiropracted 12/3/15, wormed with Quest 12/10/15, vet checked on 11/20/15, and coggins is in the mail. Genetic tested HYPP n/n, HERDA n/n, GBED N/Gb, PSSM n/n, MH n/n. So, she is a GBED carrier, but since this is a recessive trait, she is in no way affected by it. Absolutely no vices and no injuries! She is one of the sweetest horses I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I got Promise in late July, 2015. She was a VERY green broke 6 year old who hadn't been touched in a few years. Within 45 days, I had her bending, flexing, neck reining, giving to leg pressure, working off her hind end, picking up both leads off leg cues, and started on the barrel and pole patterns. Promise is now fancy broke to death! This is an amazingly talented and versatile mare. I have ridden her western and english. She has also trail ridden through trees, brush, over logs, and through water. She could easily place in a 4H pleasure class as is, and has the potential to compete at a higher level with just a little more work. Promise can do it all! She is very much a push style horse in barrels and poles. If you don't ask for any speed, she will just calmly walk the pattern for you! This mare has been becoming more competitive in the barrel arena with every run! She has not had her legs ran off! We ended the season running 1.5-2 seconds off some very tough competition (local shows- 2D/3D horse) with plenty of room to improve! With every run this mare gets better, smoother, and faster! Promise works very easily in just a snaffle, but she does run better in a mullen (straight bar) mouth piece. Promise gets along great with other horses and has never caused a problem in our herd. She stands in cross ties, for the farrier, for bathes, and stands tied to a trailer all weekend with no problems. She had been rotationally wormed every other month and had her spring shots. She currently has 4 aluminum shoes on, stays stalled at night and out on grass pasture during the day. Promise loads and trailers like a dream in both slant and stock type trailers with and without ramps. Promise was freeze branded with the CS heart brand on 11/20/15.
No tire kickers, serious buyers only. This mare has no where to go but up! I bought her as a project horse, that is the only reason why I'm selling her, but she's so nice I'm in no hurry to move her. Vet checked sound, but additional vet checks welcome at buyers expense.
