2017 buckskin gelding bred, raised and started by Ashley and Seth Schafer. I purchased from the Schafer's as a 3 year old started on pattern and lead steers. Has their brand and Ashley has an instructional video riding him on youtube. I've hauled to futurity, derby and AQHA shows. Fun to ride around pasture, gather cows, or barrel jackpots. Hauls good by himself. I've kept notes from every single run I've made on this horse because he's my only one so I have records of all his statistics. No BS or guesstimates about what D he runs in, how often we win money , or hit barrels. I'm selling because I have a toddler and just had a second baby and don't plan on running barrels for a couple years until my babies are old enough to ride.

I live in central Oklahoma where there are multiple jackpots on week nights and every weekend with several respected million dollar trainers, NFR qualifiers, and tough amature jackpot open horses who show up to even the small races.
Low maintenance, only gets shoes on fronts. he's turned out on 50acres and only gets grain to catch. No special diets or supplements. I take to chiropractor about 4 times a year. He's gotten injections one time a year ago in hocks and stifles( only needed on right side but vet suggested doing both sides) just recently started running on Lasix last 4 runs and think it calms him down so would be good to continue but he has run basically his whole career without it. Up to date on vaccinations and teeth done yearly.
Would be great for a confident rider who keeps hands quite running to first. Don't have to work on pattern just work on drills off pattern and keep in shape. Has a couple quarks: is aggressive with other horses, doesn't like to warm up by ally, refrain from doing expos just feels very strong and wants to do his job. Is a free runner and doesn't like to be pulled on during a run or he'll bow off the backside of a barrel but still clocks because he's fast in-between the barrels. I'm being 100% transparent because I'm not a horse trader and I dislike the selling process but I stand behind this horse with confidence. He's sound and too nice to sit around my pasture. Currently in Nevada with a friend just keeping him in shape during my pregnancy/birth. I have a link to a YouTube video of Ashley Schafer doing an instructional video riding him on the HorsePro.tv channel I can send if you want to see it.
